1Download & Install

Because Sûr operates alongside other apps, it is currently available via direct download for Android devices.

Download the secure APK file directly from our server.
When prompted by Android, allow installation from "Unknown Sources" (this is standard for side-loaded apps).
Open the app and grant the requested Accessibility and Overlay permissions. These allow Sûr to securely read fares from your screen and display the savings overlay.

2Create Your Account & Wallet

Sûr uses Web3 technology to eliminate banking middlemen, but you don't need to be a crypto expert to use it.

Verify: Enter your email. You will receive a secure One-Time Password (OTP) to log in.
Invisible Web3: Behind the scenes, Sûr automatically generates a secure Solana wallet tied directly to your device.
Sign the Pact: You will cryptographically sign the 501(c)(7) Mutual Aid Cooperative Agreement, officially becoming a club member.

Funding Your Wallet: You will need to load your wallet with USDC (a digital token pegged exactly to the US Dollar). You can do this easily using a standard debit or credit card right inside the app.

3Requesting a Ride

Once your wallet is funded, you never actually use the Sûr app to call a car. Sûr runs quietly in the background.

Open your standard Uber app and enter your destination normally.
When the Uber fare appears on screen, Sûr's overlay will instantly pop up.
Sûr will calculate a new, lower price that splits the corporate markup between you and a Sûr driver.

4The Pre-Auth Escrow

To ensure total trust between peers, Sûr uses an automated smart-contract escrow.

When you click "Accept Sûr Ride", the network requires you to have enough USDC in your wallet to cover the original Uber price.
These funds are temporarily locked in a digital escrow.
Sûr immediately broadcasts your request to nearby club drivers. The first driver to accept it locks in the ride.

Note: If no Sûr driver accepts the ride within a few minutes, your escrow is instantly unlocked, and you can proceed with a standard Uber ride.

5Dropoff & Final Settlement

Once the Sûr driver picks you up, you can track the route live on the Sûr map.

When the driver confirms the drop-off, the smart contract automatically executes.
Sûr deducts exactly the agreed-upon lower Sûr price from your escrow.
$1.00 goes to the cooperative network for server upkeep, and the rest goes instantly to the driver's wallet.
The remainder of your pre-authorized escrow is immediately refunded to your available balance.
